I know in 4.38 they didn't install the file for it to be selected, and they did in 4.40 but I don't know about 4.39*Д®dit to add: I don't use xfontsel, so I'm not sure how it works. Is there an entry for terminus in 'eselect fontconfig list' It's actually worse, somewhere along the way terminus dropped out of xfontsel, can't see it there anymore. (I could be wrong on the above but in playing with it, that's the conclusions I've come up with).Дoesn't seem to work here, at least trying with this: If ubuntu works then it works because of some default not because of facename.

So, part of the problem is it doesn't like facename, because if I'm reading it right, terminus isn't a freetype font, it's an old fashioned bit-mapped font. Xresources seems to work with xterm showing a nice clean terminus font.

I've set my eselect fontconfig back to how it was.ДЄnd using the correct iso entry for.
